Hamlet
The Old Harrovian Players maintain their unbroken 69 year annual Shakespeare tradition with this atmospheric online audio production. Rehearsed and recorded remotely, during lockdown in 2020, Hamlet brings together a cast of 36 Old Harrovian Players from around the world, all determined that, despite being unable to congregate in Speech Room, the show must go on.

Remote Rehearsals
The Old Harrovian Players weren’t going to let a pandemic interrupt a 69 year tradition. In March, director Tobias Deacon floated the possibility of a digital Hamlet, recorded remotely and presented online as this year’s production, and the OHPs embraced the idea and the opportunities it offered.
Without the need for on-site rehearsals, Hamlet could involve far more Old Harrovians than usual, who could rehearse their scenes with online conference-call technology and record their lines from home, during lockdown. A cast of 36 OHPs from around the world went to work, assembling all manner of make-shift recording studios and submitting their files to Tobias and Annabelle Brown, who mixed, scored and edited the production together.
