Speech Room at Harrow School

Harrow School’s grand assembly hall hosts The Old Harrovian Players’ yearly Shakespeare production. A steeply-raked, amphitheatrical space, Speech Room provides a glorious backdrop for the company’s work, hosting until recently a vast replica Elizabethan tiring house. Much-loved but increasingly creaky and challenging to assemble, the OH Players replaced the tiring house in 2019 with a multi-purpose, tiered platform, evoking the spirit of the original but without its numerous peculiarities.
